We have been reading our book by Kohak and it tends to have some very interesting ideas and arguements in it. He talks about the hunter-gatherers who travel with the herds and have a tie to nature. They depend on nature. The farmers and ploughmen also have a deep connection to nature. They depend on the weather for there crops and feeding their animals. They are nothing without nature. The craftsmen also need nature. They use nature to create their tools which allow them to build and create certain objects. Collectively, all three of these rely on nature in some way.
The producer-consumers on the other hand, have a completely different view on nature. They think that it is there purely for their enjoyment. They are not worried about whether or not the resources will run out or if they are negatively affecting nature. They just want stuff from nature and they don't care if it gets hurt in the process. Little do they know, they need to care about nature. Resources do and are going to run out and they will have nothing left. Overall their view needs to be changed or else there will be nothing left.
